Mr. Danny Greenwald is a regulator in the water and environment field, with 19 years of experience in the Israeli Water Authority, Water Commission and the Ministry of Environment.
Currently he is a member of the Israeli water authority’s extended management and the head of the reclaimed water department, responsible for promoting the use of reclaimed water by the private sector – especially eastwater and contaminated groundwater.
Previously, he served as the water contamination control manager at the Israeli Water Commission, responsible, on behalf of the Commission, on pollution prevention and treatment, from sewage, industry, agriculture and solid waste.
Prior to this, he served as the Solid Waste Department manager at the Israeli Ministry of the Environment -Northern District.
As part of his role, he participated in regulation procedures to determine the structure of the Israeli reclaimed water sector and to ensure that wastewater treatment quality is appropriate for use as reclaimed water.
Danny has a Bachelor & Master degree in soil & water sciences, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His master’s thesis focused on the effect of chemical and fiscal relations on aquifer recharge rate at the SHAFDAN west water treatment plant.
